On the morning of September 11, the first day of the program, participants will have an opportunity to make an excursion to the Shibusawa Memorial Museum, a facility located on the site where businessman Eiichi Shibusawa—the “father of Japanese capitalism” and a representative figure for modern Japan—made his home.

Participants will depart at 9:30 a.m., travel to the museum by subway, and take a 90-minute tour (with English guidance available), leaving plenty of time to get back for the start of the 1:30 p.m. session.

Yukata (summer kimono) fitting service

We will also be offering a fitting service for participants who would like to wear yukata (summer kimono) to the Congress reception on the evening of September 12.

Participants can either rent or purchase a low-cost yukata at the site, where professional staff will then help each participant get dressed. Yukata are available for both women and men. After the English session ends at 3:00 p.m., participants will be able to get fitted and dressed in their yukata in time for the start of the reception at 6:00 p.m. Japan can get rather hot in the summer, so this is the perfect chance to try a yukata on for size and beat the heat in cool, traditional style.
